About the author
Vittoria Lawson Yaphe
Vittoria Lawson Yaphe began writing poetry at age six, and began her public speech career at age eleven. Currently, she is a writer of poetry, academia, socio-political and economic philosophy. She holds many degrees, including two Magna Cum Laude Bachelor’s Degrees in political science and economics and business from Macalester College, St. Paul, MN, a Master’s in Business from Bellevue University, NE, and a Master’s in Diplomacy and International Commerce from Norwich University, VT. She inherently gravitates to intellectual thought, public policy issues, and social inequities, which extends equally to her passion of creating art within the use of words, speech, dramatics, music, and cultural travel. She has traveled the world to further understand the cultural, economic, political, and diplomatic norms of global nations and societies, and she has also traveled for humanitarian reasons.
Her life’s career is as eclectic as she. Ms. Lawson Yaphe has worked nationally and globally, within management and leadership positions; developing strategic business plans and corporate business cases for national, international and government product lines. Ms. Lawson Yaphe’s depth work is not limited to technical security and data communications, with Time Warner Telecom; managing industrial product lines, with Union Pacific Railroad; and government proposal development and business management with Lockheed Martin Corporation and Lockheed Martin Space Systems Company.
My mission
My mission now is to dedicate myself to using words as tools to publish poetic views that resonate with individuals within the complexities of human nature, feeling, emotion, and free thought, corporate and social norms, that can lead to social, economic and political dystopia. This book ‘Poetic Views– Reflections Through Locked Windows In Time, And for All Those with a Mercurial Mind,’ is Volume 1 of a 3 part project to continue the journey of provocative subjects of poems intended to perhaps reconcile one’s own external understanding of situations, that only one’s internal thoughts can judge.
